Part: U.S. Government Procurement Subpart: Supplies Classcod: 13 -- Ammunition and Explosives Offadd: U.S. Army Operations Support Command, ATTN: AMSOS-CCE-D Bldg 390, 4th Floor, Rock Island, IL 61299-6000 Subject: PA150 and PA151 Fastpack Containers DESC: Solicitation is for purchase of Fastpack: 307 PA150 fastpacks and 300 PA151 Fastpacks. The fastpack has no replenishment requirements. The fastpack is a unitized packaging assembly. Full and open competition is approved. Issue DATE 27 Jul 01, Opening Date: 28 Aug 01. P/N: PA150 Container 12937865. P/N: PA151 Container 12937864. The fastpack's (PA150 and PA151) metal container with inner packaging components will be delivered as unit load assemblies banded together; each consisting of 12 metal containers arranged on a metal pallet with top and bottom metal pallet adapters. Contractor first article testing and Government unit load qualification testing is required for new manufacturers of the metal containers or metal pallets. The manufacturing process consists of stamping, forming, welding and painting. Any manufacturer of the fastpack containers will need the tooling required for stamping/forming process associated with the rapid production of this item. Trades required/certified are those of a general assembly, welder, machinists, painting, QA and engineering capabilities. For unit load test refer to MIL-A-70788A. Stacking Strength refer to MIL-P-70786. The HQ, OSC is seeking response to the solicitation who can deliver 192 each PA150 Fastpacks by December 1, 2001, i.e., 89 Each shipped to Anniston Army Depot and 49 each shipped to Red River Army Depot. The remainng 54 PA150'S will be shipped to Letterkenny Army Depot. An additional 115 each PA15O fastpacks will be shipped either to Tooele Army Depot or 6th ORD BH HHC AUG APE Activity, Camp Humphreys, Korea by February 1, 2002 (CONUS) or May 1, 2002 (OCONUS). Further, the 300 each PA151 fastpacks will be shipped either to Tooele Army Depot or 6th ORD BH HHC AUG APE Activity, Camp Humphreys, Korea by February 1, 2002 (CONUS) or May 1, 2002 (OCONUS). Please note that destinations include CONUS and OCONUS shipments. The contract will be awarded to the offeror who will provide the best value to the Government, price and all other factors considered. The award evaluation will include an evaluation of past performance. Hardware supplies will be awarded on a Firm Fixed Price basis. All quantities will be evaluated under FOB Destination terms.
