Description

Contractor shall provide all labor and supervision, materials, equipment, and perform work to complete Project 646-361, "Correct Life Safety Deficiencies" in accordance with written specifications and drawings and conformance with JCAHO, ADA, NEC, OSHA, Life Safety, VA Standard criteria, Allegheny County guidelines, and all other applicable codes, standards, rules and regulations. Work area is the 7th floor east and center sides, ground floor and other affected areas at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, site work, HVAC, architectural finishes and other general construction with asbestos abatement, all as outlined in the specifications and drawings. Portions of project constructed with phasing. The estimated construction cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. NAICS is 23320 with the small business size standard of $27.5M. Solicitation issue o/a July 31, 2001. Prebid conference is scheduled for 10:00am on August 8, 2001 in the first floor Conference Room at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. A scheduled site visit will be held immediately after the Conference. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Anticipated Bid Opening is August 30, 2001 at 3:00pm in the A&MM Conference Room, Third Floor of Building 4, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. Solicitation is open to large and small businesses, all responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
