Description

The scope of the project involves constructing approximately 650 linear feet of elevated boardwalk (8' wide) and installing a 160' x 10' weathering steel, bow truss, pre-manufactured bridge. General work items include: driving steel H-piles, cast-in-place concrete abutments, cast-in-place concrete piers, constructing temporary approaches, placing rip=rap, carpentry, landscaping and other miscellaneous items. The bridge is a Government furnished item and will be delivered to Effigy Mounds Nation Monument, Harpers Ferry, Iowa on October 1, 2001. The contractor will be responsible for unloading the bridge from the transport vehicles on this date. Effigy Mounds is located 3 miles north of Marquette, Iowa on State Highway 76.
