- Description
- This is an AMENDMENT to the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Commercial Items (Executive Search/Recruitment). The IRS seeks contractor assistance in the area of executive search/recruitment. An ORIGINAL and 3 COPIES of the Offeror's proposal shall be submitted; offers are due 3:00 PM, EST, on Monday. July 16, 2001, in Rm. 700 at the address shown above. Submit questions via e-mail to helen.d.carmona@irs.gov. The purpose of this AMENDMENT is to provide responses to questions submitted by potential offerors: QUESTION 1: Where will the person selected for the position be geographically located? REPLY: The position is in Edison, NJ; however, there may be some flexibility of the incumbent to work in Washington, DC or one of the Industry Headquarters (Downers Grove, IL; New York (Manhattan), NY; Houston, TX; or Oakland, CA). QUESTION 2: If the person is not currently located in the specific geographic area, will the government offer/provide relocation expense reimbursements? REPLY: YES; re-location expenses will be provided for the individual selected for the position. QUESTION 3: Are responses to this RFQ limited to small business entities that meet the size standard specified in the synopsis? REPLY: No; this is an Unrestricted Acquisition; all entities may propose and will be evaluated against the stated evaluation criteria. QUESTION 4: If the answer to the previous question is 'YES', will the government consider offers from joint ventures and/or teaming arrangements as defined by the FAR? REPLY: The government will accept all proposals, however constructed/configured, received in response to this acquisition. QUESTION 5: Will the government provide a list of questions posed by all potential offerors, and the government-provided answers to those questions? REPLY: All questions and responses will be posted at: www.eps.gov. QUESTION 6: What is the anticipated award date for this contract action? REPLY: On or about JULY 31, 2001. QUESTION 7: We assume that the offeror selected for this contract will be performing the vast majority of the work from his/her own facilities. Is this assumption correct? REPLY: Yes; however, it is expected there will be a great deal of time spent at the IRS National Office (Washington, DC), working with the requesting Program Office and the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative as this executive search/recruitment effort moves along the search/recruitment process. All other terms and conditions of this acquisition remain unchanged and in full force and effect.
