Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking concerns having the ability to provide non-secure community based residential services in the Northern Minnesota area, for male Federal juvenile offenders committed to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons or who are under the supervision of the United States Probation Office. Interested sources are requested to give written notification (including complete name, address, telephone number and contact person) to the Contracting Officer listed in this notice. Services required are for juvenile care, custody, control, accountability, and treatment to include furnishing subsistence and medical services. The services described shall be provided in accordance with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Statement of Work, "Contract Non-Secure Juvenile Facility, September 2000". No operational hotel/motel will be considered as a facility for this requirement. The location of the facility shall be in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area within the boundaries of the following counties: Minnehaha, Lincoln, Turner, McCook, Lake or Moody. A Firm-Fixed-Price-Requirements type contract is anticipated. The contract base period shall be two years with three one-year option periods to renew. The estimated number of inmate days are 2,920 for the two-year base period and 1,460 inmate days for each of the three one-year option periods. The estimated issue date for the solicitation is August 20, 2001. The estimated closing date for the solicitation is October 22, 2001.
