Description
CORRECTION: AS READS: "The following minimum floors will apply to the total anticipated subcontracted dollar amounts under the contract: Small Business Firms 61.4%; Small Disadvantaged Business Certified Firms 9.1%; Women-Owned Small Business Firms 5.0%; HUBZone Certified Firms 2.5%; and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Firms 3.4%. The term "floors" is used instead of goals as the Corps of Engineers' objective is to exceed the percentages rather than merely meet the percentages. Large firms should keep these floors in mind when considering qualifications of potential subcontractors and ensure that each proposed subcontractor's socio-economic status is clearly identified in the submission of qualifications." SHOULD READ: "The following goals will apply to the total anticipated subcontracted dollar amounts under the contract: Small Business Firms 61.4%; Small Disadvantaged Business Certified Firms 9.1%; Women-Owned Small Business Firms 5.0%; HUBZone Certified Firms 2.5%; and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Firms 3.4%. The Corps of Engineers is strongly committed to the involvement of small business concerns in subcontracting, therefore the objective is to exceed the percentages rather than merely meet the percentages. Large firms should keep these goals in mind when considering qualifications of potential subcontractors and ensure that each proposed subcontractor's socio-economic status is clearly identified in the submission of qualifications."
