Description

The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials, and performing all work in accordance with the specifications and drawings for renovating and providing air conditioning on three floors of Barracks Facilities 736 and 737. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract. The Invitation For Bids is to be issued on, or about 7 August, 2001. Award of a contract for this requirement is SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. The work to be performed will include, but not be limited to, the following principal features: Where indicated perform all demolition and removal of concrete block walls, door frames, glazed structural tile units, ceramic tile floor and setting bed, vinyl composition tile floors down to vinyl asbestos flooring (clean and leave VAT as is and ready for new VCT), plaster and gypsum board ceilings, exhaust registers and all framing and associated finish material, duct, floor drains, waste/vent piping, hot/cold water piping, clothes washer hot/cold/drain/vent piping, dryer vents, shower controls/heads, plumbing fixtures/piping, miscellaneous toilet accessories, electrical services to the buildings, electrical devices, electrical wiring, and light fixtures. Provide new ceramic tile and concrete block units to match existing to patch walls where demolition has occurred. Provide new tile setting bed and new ceramic tile flooring where indicated. Provide new VCT flooring as indicated. Provide new seamless flooring as indicated. Provide sawcut openings in concrete block walls for new doors where indicated, provide new doors and hardware where indicated. Provide gypsum board and walls where indicated. Provide new plaster ceilings to match existing at first and second floor toilet rooms as required. Paint complete all wall and ceiling surfaces affected by demolition or construction, Provide new lavatory top with integral bowls as indicated. Provide new toilet accessories as indicated. Provide new supply/return registers, supply/return register balancing, building structural reinforcement, AHU intake duct/diffuser, dampers, louvers, floor drains, waste/vent piping, hot/cold/domestic water piping, gauges, sump pumps, unit heaters, clothes washer hot/cold/drain/vent piping, dryer vents, shower controls/heads, plumbing fixtures/piping, plumbing fixtures, piping, tie-ins, valves fittings, foundations and devices where indicated. Provide new exhaust fans, gas piping/regulators/ valves/fittings, AHU units with controls, pumps with controls, AHU piping, glycol, filters, underground/building chilled water piping/valves/fittings/vaults, ductwork and supply/return registers where indicated. Provide new pulse boiler units with controls, gauges, pumps, foundations, controls, piping, tanks, separators, valves, pipe chases, where indicated. Provide all systems testing and training as indicated and in accordance with the specifications. Provide new electrical devices, fixtures and wiring. Provide new ductwork and grilles where indicated. Provide new electrical services to the buildings, electrical devices, fixtures and wiring. This acquisition is unrestricted pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The contractor must accept the Government-wide IMPAC/VISA purchase card for payments on this contract. The solicitation will be provided in response to written requests only.
