Description

This project consists of construction and compaction of approximately 0.45 of a mile of campground roads and camp spaces. Crushed aggregate will be placed at an 8" depth at some areas and at 4" depth at others. Some filter cloth will be placed under the aggregate. A low water ford will be constructed. 344 rock barriers will be placed to define campsites and roadways. Two old wood toilet buildings will be demolished and hauled to a landing in the area. Solicitation package issue date 08/13/01. Work start date approximately 09/17/01. Contract time 58 days. There will be a 100% payment bond required after contract award. Price range $25,000 to $100,000. The project is located on the Foresthill Ranger District. From I-80 in Auburn, California, take the Auburn Foresthill road 18 miles to Foresthill. Travel through Foresthill, stay on the Foresthill Divide Road for 25 miles. When the pavement ends, you will be at the project location.
