Description
DEC.: The U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA has the requirement a Sony SSONVPL-CX10 XGA Digital Projector, 1200 lumens, Digital Keystone and other listed items. THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE FOR SONY BECAUSE IT IS THE ONLY PROJECTOR THAT MEETS THE FOLLOWING SALIENT SPECIFICATIONS (1) A NATIVE RESOLUTION OF 1024 X 768 MINIMUM; (2) USB HUB PORT CONNECTION FOR SIMULTANEOUS CONTROL OF A MULTIPLE PROJECTOR ARRAY. NEES TO BE COMPLETE WITH PROJECTOR STATION 2.0 SOFTWARE SO THEY CAN BE DAISY CHAINED AND SYNCHRONIZED FOR TILING IMAGES ON THE MULTI-WALL BEING DEVELOPED IN THE NEW COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCES LAB. VIA THIS CAPABILITY UP TO 127 PROJECTORS CAN BE SIMULTANEOUSLY CONTROLLED VIA A HUB COMPUTER; (3) LOW NOISE DESIGN FOR LESS THAN 36 DB OR NOISE; AND (4) BUILT IN STEREO SPEAKERS. This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for a commercial item prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND THE SOLICITATION NUMBER IS S0100634. Solicitation number S0100634 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).. Items to be purchased: (1) Sony SONVPL-CX10 XGA Digital Projector, 1200 lumens, Digital Keystone -- 17 each; (2) SONLMP-C132 Replacement Lamps -- 4 each; (3) Cheif ceiling mount for Sony CX10 Part #RPA-2131 -- 17 each; (4) SANPLCXP30N Sanyo Projector: XGA, 3000 lumens, power zoom/focus lens -- 1 each; (5) SAN610-285-4842 replacement lamp -- 1 each; (6) CHIRPA-9280 Stationary ceiling mount -- 1 each; (7) SANPLCEF12N Sanyo Projector, SXGA, 3700 lumens, power lens shift -- 4 each; (8) SAN610-285-7450 replacement lamp -- 3 each; (9) Peerless mount part #PJRLSAPLC90000N for Sanyo PLCEF 12N -- 4 each; (10) SANVPC-Z400 1600 X 1200 3X Optical Zoom w/2" LCD Monitor -- 2 each; and (11) SANDVD-7000 Dolby Digital/Digital sound component/Composite video DVD player. This requirement is being procured and will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Far 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (AUG 1998) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. Within FAR 52.212-1, an reference to "offer" is changed to read as "quote". The provisions at 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (JAN 1999) does not apply to this acquisition. Instead, the following information will be used for evaluation of offerors: An award shall be made to that responsible offeror submitting a technically acceptable quote and offering the lowest evaluated price. Price shall be the deciding factor among technically acceptable quotes. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted response to this provision as it compares to the minimum characteristics provided above. Therefore, it is essential that offerors provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. Price shall be the deciding factor among technically acceptable quotes. The offeror shall provide backup information to support the quoted price (e.g. a copy of current catalog or established price list, three invoices for the same equipment, etc.). FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items; FAR 52.214-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; FAR 52.214-5 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. FAR provisions and clauses including FAR 52.212-3, can be found at the INTERNET site: http:/www.arnet.gov/far. COMPLIANCE WITH VETERANS EMPLOYMENTS REPORTING REQUIREMENTS -- (a) The Offeror represents that, if it is subject to the reporting requirements of 38 U.S.C. 4212(d) (i.e. the VETS-100 report required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era), it has ( ), has not ( ) submitted the most recent report required by 38 U.S.C. 42212(d). (B) An Offeror who checks "has not" may not be awarded a contract until the required reports are filed. (31 U.S.C. 1354). RFQ responses are DUE NO LATER THAN July 27, 2001. A firm fixed priced purchase order will be issued. Anticipated award will be on or about August 10, 2001. Request for RFQ shall be in writing, stating RFQ number S0100634 complete company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number, and facsimile number.
