Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number USZA97-01-Q-0300, is issued as a request for quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14. This acquisition is unrestricted. Naval Special Warfare Group Two intends to purchase the following items: Item 0001, 17 each, P/N 82010 Field Ranger Telescope, 3.5 1300mm lens, rugged designed, high magnification, field surveillance lens, Telescope is light (2.6lb) compact (Length with C mount adapter is 10.35"x Diameter: 4.25" x Height: 5.53"), well balanced; its configuration makes it perfect for use with eyepieces, video (C mount adapter -- WATEC902C/HS CCD camera) and night vision equipment (can be attached with all night vision gear G2's SOTVS equipment VIA Canon EOS SLR camera adapter), Telescope high magnification paired with G2's SOTVS equipment gives the operator a standoff range of over 4 kilometers; Performance: working range is 20ftto infinity, optical resolution is 1.0 arc second, clear aperture is 3.5", effective focal length is 1175mm video/1475mm with image erector, F-Number is 13.2@1175mm EFL, special response is 0.35-1.5 micron; Optical: design type is Maksutov Cassegrain Catadioptric, corrector is BK7/MgF2, 3.5" diameter, primary mirror is Pyrex substrate, aluminum coated, SiO overcoat, 3.78" diameter, secondary mirror is aluminum coating on corrector, SiO overcoat, 1.14" diameter, lens are coated with broad band and low reflection coatings giving the lens a better low light capability, baffling is wire helix in central tube; Mechanical: barrel is aluminum with press fit corrector cell, rear closure plate is aluminum, machined, central tube is centerless ground stainless steel; pressed and swaged into rear closure plate; mirror mount/focusing tube is stainless steel sliding tube matched to central tube, integrated with mirror mounting thimble, focus mechanism is 24 pitch ground stainless steel focus rod; direct acting on mirror thimble, spring loaded; focus control is 0.5" diameter straight knurled anodized aluminum knob; position may be rotated around barrel to suit operator; finish is aluminum parts anodized; exterior surfaces polane T polyurethane, putty color; hardware and fasteners stainless steel. Item 0002, 17 each, P/N 19356, Canon EOS SLR camera adapter; All items should be delivered Naval Special Warfare Group Two, 1300 Helicopter Rd, Bldg 3854, Norfolk VA 23521.
