- Description
- This announcement is a sources sought notice published for market research to locate potential sources and is not a request for proposal or solicitation. Procurement is for the HF Messenger software (license), Serial Synchronous Card with optional field services, manufactured by Rockwell Collins. This requirement will result in a fixed price IDIQ type contract for a period of five years, (one base year and four one-year periods). The Serial Synchronous Card shall be available in hardware configurations capable of being installed in standard PC ISA or PCMCIA card slots. The product must be fully compatible with STANAG 5066 Version 1.2 for personal computers to transfer digital data over standard Navy shipboard/shore based HF Communications systems. The HF Messenger profile software shall provide functions required to send and to receive digital data and files between the personal computer and the radio. The HF Messenger software shall not provide radio or modem control. This notice is for planning purposes only. All sources that are able to perform this work must submit their interest in writing and should include the following: (1) company name, (2) address, (3) telephone number, (4) fax number, (5) type of business (large or small, educational institution; large or small non-profit, 8(a), and or Woman Owned,) (6)two points of contact, and (7) DUNS number. Responses are due by July 23, 2001 and can be mailed, emailed or sent by facsimile. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this "sources sought" announcement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Should this market survey determine that there are organizations capable of providing such services, SPAWAR may release a Request for Proposal sometime in the future. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resulting solicitation for the requirement. The Government reserves the right to consider a Small Business Set-Aside or 8(a) Set-Aside based on responses hereto. The applicable NAICS Code is 334113 with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
