Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement for 8 each, Portable Ventilation Blowers. The units shall be a minimum of 30 HP, 3600 rpm maximum, 3 phase 60 cycle, and be mounted on a single heavy-duty skid base. They shall be used by Puget Sound Naval Shipyard shop personnel to remove fumes and potentially explosive gases from void spaces onboard ship. The blowers will be located outside, next to, and within the shipyard's drydocks and piers. The blowers shall be completely assembled and ready for immediate use upon receipt. Delivery is required within 5 weeks after contract award. Delivery shall be made to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. This acquisition will be solicited utilizing FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition Procedures. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 18 Jul 01, and close on or about 27 Jul 01. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. =20
