Description

The United States Air Force, Hanscom AFB, MA is accepting quotations to remove and replace security gates at two Base entry points, as well as removing and rebuilding an existing retaining wall. The project consists of removing two sets of existing and installation of new manual gates at Hartwell Ave and Vandenburg Dr entrances to Hanscom AFB, MA. The principle items of work include demolition of existing gates and gateposts, installation of new gateposts and gates, patching of applicable postholes, and restoring all finishes in affected areas to match existing. The contract will also require reconstruction of a New England dry stone wall from existing stones to match existing wall at the Hartwell Ave gate. If the number of stones is not adequate the contractor will be required to match the existing and augment the additional stones. The wall will be laid in a 12" deep by 18" wide footer of =BD" to =BE" gravel. The finished wall shall be 3'high from ground level. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $75,000. The period of performance for this project will be 30 calendar days.
