- Description
- The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment to perform a partial restoration of Pensacola light as follows: A) a portion of the partial restoration includes the removal and disposal of asbestos containing floor and ceiling tiles. These items are located in the second floor storage room of the light tower. B) a portion of the exterior painting includes the removal and disposal of lead containing paint. The items containing lead paint are located on the wood eaves around the keeper's quarters. The estimated price range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This work is located at USCG Aids to Navigation Team Pensacola on U. S. Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. Request for a bid package must be submitted in writing. There will be a $10.00 charge for the solicitation package and drawings. All checks should be made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard. Bid quarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both small and large businesses participation. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. Those who previously requested under the Presolicitation Notice dated, 12 June 2001, do not need to request again. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235210 with a three-year average annual receipts, small business size standard of $11.5 million. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT?s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000.00. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000.00 with interest at the prime rate.
