Description

The Monongahela National Forest anticipates contracting for an ecosystem analysis of the Upper Shaver's Fork Watershed located on the Greenbrier District of the Monongahela National Forest. The watershed covers approximately 54,258 acres in Randolph and Pocahontas Counties, West Virginia. In general, this project will include an ecosystem analysis of the Upper Shaver's Fork Watershed that will characterize the human, aquatic, riparian, and terrestrial features, conditions, processes, and interactions within the watershed. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available on approximately July 25, 2001. Electronic solicitation packages may be obtained FREE on the specified date at the following website: http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/contracting/index.html, under solicitation number R9-ORB-01-259. Requests for hard copy solicitation packages must be submitted in writing to: USDA FOREST SERVICE, ATTN: DEBRA HURON, EASTERN REGION, 310 W WISCONSIN AVE STE 580, MILWAUKEE WI 53203. The charge for each hard copy solicitation package is $5.00 in advance. Checks should be made payable to USDA -- Forest Service. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Proposals must be received by August 24, 2001, or 30 days after the solicitation package becomes available, whichever is later, at the website or in hard copy.
