Description

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Morgantown, WV has a requirement to obtain a three-dimensional (3D), digital, color, anthropometry system capable of providing anthropometry measures of the human hand and forearm surfaces. The whole-hand scan of a live human hand shall be completed in less than one second (ideally) and within four seconds, if necessary. The system shall include all optical, mechanical, and computational hardware, as well as the software to obtain, process, store, retrieve, and display the data in tabular and perspective (solid color image) views. The system shall be capable of performing high resolution scans of surface-intense areas of the hand and forearm, and that of exotically shaped products (examples: hand molds or glove bladders) of similar dimension (7" x 25" / 18cm x 63.5cm). The system shall be capable of easy disassembly, and have all device components and cables labeled to facilitate reassembly. When disassembled the system shall be stored in a durable storage container system. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be utilized in procuring this equipment. Request for Quotation #2001-Q-04087 contains the complete specifications which must be met by any offer to be considered for award. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334519.
