Description

The Government is planning an operating lease for the re-engining of the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) aircraft. The initial CBD was issued on February 17, 2000 to announce the conduct of a Pre-Bidder's Conference, which was held on March 9, 2000. This was followed by a second CBD announcement on 27 September 2000 and the conduct of an Industry Day on 25 October 2000. Since conducting the aforementioned Conferences, several changes have taken place. A final Bidder's Conference will be conducted with the release of the Re-engining RFQ on 24 July 2001 to address these changes. This will be held at Northrop Grumman's Melbourne, Florida facility. Please be advised that technical information supplied to Northrop Grumman will be shared with our technical advisor Boeing. All prospective suppliers are invited to attend this Bidders' Conference briefing.
