Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) for a documenting the effectiveness of a mixture of anti-traction materials selected and tested for the Marine Corps under the non-lethal mobility denial program. The estimated value of the contract is $250,000.00. SwRI conducted the literature search, market research, and initial laboratory testing that led to the Government's selection of a combination of commercial chemical materials with physical properties that meet the military's operational requirements. The contract will include three Trade Studies on environmental, countermeasures, and storage issues associated with the selected chemical materials. This contract will complete the chemical properties analysis for a Joint Army and Marine Corps Milestone B. No RPP is available for competitive bidding; however, interested parties are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement within 15 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above
