Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates award of a Firm Fixed Price Construction contract for the renovation of the Food Service Area at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), Chicago, Illnois. The work consists of providing all labor and materials to perform renovation of existing 5,000 square foot food service area. Work consist of complete demolition of existing ceiling, floor, equipment, plumbing, walls, sewer lines and electric with reconstruction and installation of new sewer lines flooring, walls, doors utilities, ceiling and sprinkler lines. All work shall be completed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and invitation for bid while maintaining compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations. The solicitation packets WILL NOT BE available until on or about 8/3/01. Project completion time is 109 calendar days. The project is not set-aside for small business. A subcontracting plan will be required for large businesses. There will be a non-refundable charge of $254.00 for the plans, when they are available. Insurance is required for the duration of the project, and contractor will be required to submit a Certificate of Insurance. Work is to be performed in a correctional setting and contractor and staff will be subject to background investigations and security procedures. See numbered Note 26.
