Description

This is a notice of sole source intent by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, to increase the monetary limitation of Contract DACA01-98-D-0024 from $40,000,000.00 to $40,500,000.00 to cover several within scope change orders to various on-going task orders. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract was awarded on 1 April 1998 to Global Engineering & Construction JV, Wichita Falls, Texas, with an expiration date of 24 September 2001. This notice is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. It is in the best interest of the government to use the incumbent contractor, Global Engineering & Construction JV, for modifications to on-going task orders so that existing contract actions may be fully executed by the prime contractor to ensure completion of all terms and conditions, inclusive of warranty support. This action will preclude disruption of work in progress, and extension of completion schedules. It will also alleviate the cost of mobilizing an additional contractor and avoid any conflicts resulting from the actions of multiple contractors working on the same project in the same area of work.
