Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to negotiate a Purchase Order with the Corrosion Control Consultants & Labs (CCC&L). The CCC&L will be providing testing collecting data analysis in conjunction with AASHTO-NTPEP test program. These firms will develop a uniform database format to collect the NTPEP data for testing. The objective of this project will be to design and format a specific search criteria which is critical for performance parameters. The database will be used to gain and collect data on trends and tendencies using the NTPEP data test methods for group testing. The CCC&L will produce panels for each of the coating system that will be tested using the US Navy Test Facility at the Naval Research Laboratory. In addition, the CCC&L will implement visual imaging techniques to be used for inspecting the scribe failure for the NTPEP test for data acquisition. The CCC&L has the unique capability and expertise to provide the coatings and performance testings in addition to the data that will be collected for the program. The CCC&L has the history and experience in addition to be the sole providers of the performance testing and data program. Therefore, they are the only known source available that can provide the testing, evaluation and have the capability to test the specimens required to perform the work for the FHWA. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is July 20, 2001.
