Description

In accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, the Contracts Department of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, intends to procure lubrication oils, hydraulic fluids, and greases, primarily for the ships stationed at Naval Station, San Diego, CA. Contract will be a firm fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type for one base year with two, 1-year options. Contract will be a Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD) contract, with possible additional usage by various Government agencies throughout the western United States. Any offeror responding to this announcement must be able to support use of the Government Credit Card in the placement of orders. Each offeror must also submit commercial catalogs (listing the prices charged to oil distributors by various oil producers) containing the requested and other related items, with discounted mark-ups for the government, for ultimate availability via the Internet. This is an unrestricted procurement; all responsible sources may submit an offer. Multiple contracts may be awarded. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted by 23 July 2000 on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web site, http://www.neco.navy.mil. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review the referenced web links frequently for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). The Government does not anticipate paper copies of these documents to be issued. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is mandatory for offerors (see CCR information on web link http://ccr.edi.disa.mil).
