Description

The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (TACOM-ARDEC), Product Manager Small Arms, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, has a requirement for .308 caliber ammo pouch. The ammo pouch shall hold and store twenty rounds of standard .308 caliber ammunition. The pouch shall mount to the standard web gear belt and/or pack. The pouch shall be composed of a nylon material, olive drab in color. The pouch shall conceal/store/protect the ammunition when not in use. The pouch shall include silent attachment/detachment to the web gear belt and/or pack. It shall include a silent open/close capability and a silent withdraw of cartridges from the cartridge loops. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on the TACOM-ARDEC Acquisition Center website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil on or about July 23, 2001.
