Description

Pre-Invitation Notice NASA/ARC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for Installing eight no-load break isolation switches for the Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel (UPWT). The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00 and the effort shall be completed within 168 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 23531 and $11.5 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about July 26th, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about August 28th, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office, (650) 604-0918. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Hard copies of specifications and drawings may be obtained from the Bid Distribution office; however, the closing date for the hard copy received shall be the same as the solicitation, inclusive of any amendments, released on the Internet.
