Description

The Department of Interior (DOI) has a requirement for narrowband radio equipment, as well as associated accessories, testing equipment, service equipment, and miscellaneous services such as installation and removal and maintenance. The equipment must meet NTIA multimode 12.5/25 kilohertz channel spacing, and Telecommunications Industry Association TIA-102 and Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International (APCO) Project 25 standards. Radio equipment requirements include VHF and UHF base stations, mobile radios, portable radios, repeaters, and transportable radios. The DOI anticipates issuing multiple award IDIQ contracts that will be open to all federal agencies for ordering purposes. The contracts will provide for a base year period of performance and four option years. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about July 20, 2001 and responses will be required 30 days from the date of issuance.
