Description

Work includes refurbishing the Slater Butte Lookout and instal an accessible ramp on a modular conference room at the Happy Camp Lower Station, both on the Happy Camp Ranger District, Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. Work on the Slater Butte Look-out includes removing existing wooden catwalks, railing, and stair landings and replacing these items with a wood-polymer product, painting existing siding, replacing vinyl flooring, replacing an electric wall heater, and installing flashing around the base of the Lookout building. Work on the Conference Room at the Happy Camp Lower Station includes constructing an accessible ramp meeting ADA standards. All work shall be done in accordance with the requirements of current State of California and Local Building Codes. Price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contract time is 30 calendar days, with an estimated start work date of September 1, 2001. Date for receipt of quotes has not been established, but is estimated to be in Mid August, 2001. A performance bond will be required of the successful quoter.
