Description

THIS IS A COMPETITIVE 8(a) SET ASIDE. THE NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE IS CHANGED TO 561210, FACILITIES SUPPORT MANAGEMENT SERVICES, WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF $5,000,000. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Services (ORS), Veterinary Resources Program (VRP), seeks a contractor to establish and maintain a comprehensive program to provide husbandry and centralized animal care for research rodents and rabbits. The successful offeror shall demonstrate the ability to provide prompt, efficient animal care and related service for laboratory animals and researchers in compliance with Federal regulations and guidelines as well as the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALACI) guidelines. Specific tasks are discussed in detail in the Statement of Work (SOW). The solicitation document was released on June 29, 2001, with a due date of July 31, 2001. The planned contract award date is January 18, 2002.
