- CARDIOLOGY TECHNICAL SUPPORT STAFFING SERVICES -- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University and Woodland Avenues, Philadelphia, PA 19104 has a requirement for Cardiology Technical Support Staffing Services. The contractor shall furnish VA with Technical Support Staff to provide direct patient care in the following areas and laboratories: Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratory, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Electrophysiology Laboratory and ECG Laboratory. Technical support staff must possess all licenses, certifications, and accreditations necessary to perform the required services. Technical support staff shall be required to provide or assist during the following patient care procedures: M-Mode and 2D Echocardiographic and Color Flow Doppler, Pulse Wave Doppler, Continuous Wave Doppler, Transesophageal Echos, Dobutamine Stress Echos, and Routine Exercise Tests. Support staff must be familiar with the operation of specialized cardiac equipment such as permanent pacemakers, elective and emergency right and left heart catheterization, insertion of Swan-Ganz catheters, temporary and permanent pacemakers, electro-physiologic studies, peri-cardiocenthesis and cardiac cine-angiography. Operates specialized recording equipment and sophisticated pacing equipment in support of electro-physiologic studies, operates thermal and dye dilution equipment for the measurement of cardiac output and shunt determination, operates X-ray contrast medium power injector during procedures, operates oximeter to monitor appropriateness of patient's oxygen saturation during procedures, EKG's, Holter Monitor setup and scanning, signal averaging ECG, arterial pacing studies, ventricular stimulation studies, RF ablation, permanent pacemaker insertions, internal cardiac defibrillator implants, tilt table testing, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, directional coronary atherectomy, application of coronary stents, rotablater therapy, temporary pacemaker insertion, intra-aortic balloon counter-pulsation, TEE and monitoring, pulmonary angiography, intra vascular ultrasound, right heart catheterization with Dobutamine infusion. All responsible sources with the capability to provide Cardiology Technical Support Staffing Services are invited to submit in writing, sufficient information that demonstrates their ability to fulfill this requirement. Responses must contain descriptive literature in sufficient detail to permit technical evaluation and include capability and past performance data, a point of contact (name and telephone #) and if applicable, Federal (GSA/FSS) contract number and pricing. All responses received will be fully considered. A request for a copy of the Solicitation or RFP will be deemed non-responsive as no solicitation document exists. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
