Description

BNFL Inc (BNFL) is a contractor at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) for the Department of Energy (DOE), which has the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project (AMWTP). The AMWTP is a fixed price contract for the retrieval, characterization, packaging and shipping of plutonium contaminated mixed waste from the State of Idaho to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP), in Carlsbad, New Mexico. BNFL is looking for expressions of interest from potential suppliers of containers, filters, lifting devices, gaskets, etc., for possible future procurements. Items include, but not limited to, the following: mild steel 55 gallon drums, mild steel 83 gallon (or 85 gallon) drums, mild steel boxes, Standard Waste Boxes (SWB's), Ten Drum Overpacks (TDOP's), Automatic Center of Gravity Lifting devices and their adapters for use with the SWB's and TDOP's, filters for use with the containers inside the shipping containers, 100 gallon/puck drums.
