Description
The The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for the development of power conversion equipment for Integrated Power System (IPS) risk reduction demonstrations. The IPS program explores alternatives to the present ship system architectures which provide separate propulsion and ship service power. Preliminary designs were submitted competitively by six offerors selected for Phase 1 of this effort, which is complete. The six offerors were competitively downselected to three for Phase 2 Detailed Design. An option will now be exercised with up to all three contractors for fabrication of prototype modules for testing. No new offers are now being solicited. This effort is being conducted under Other Transactions with offerors. This synopsis is for information only.
