Description

The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued electronically on or about July 23, 2001, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC)web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF, Specifications will be available in Adobe PDF format, and drawings will be available TIFF format. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. No other notifications will be sent. -- The work of this contract consists of the Phase III rehabilitation/construction of 17 RV campsites with hookups and associated utilities, rehabilitation of the Buckhorn/Point Potable Water System, elimination of one loop road, and additional minor road realignment and overlayment. A Pre-proposal site meeting will be held at Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Point Campground, Sulphur, Oklahoma. The Contracting Officer will request coordination of exact meeting time and date when actual advertising date is set. -- Estimated price range, $500,000 to $1,000,000. -- Time for completion, 240 calendar days. Proposal receipt date is approximate; actual date will be established at the time bidding documents are available. -- All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
