Description

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) through the Program Support Center, General Acquisitions Branch intends to award a Sole Source Simplified Acquisition to the Baltimore Ravens. The contractor will collaborate with CMHS in a pilot project to encourage Fathers to make at least 15 minutes a day to listen and take time to talk with their children. At least two discussion groups shall be conducted by the contractor with fathers and male care givers in the Baltimore area. The contractor will use the findings from the discussion groups to develop media materials to promote the campaign messages. The Ravens will have one or more players act as spokespersons for the campaign and be featured in media materials. The contractor will arrange for a thirty-second TV public Service Announcement to show on a local sports TV sports show during the Football season. One "Smart Vision" image will be displayed at PSI Stadium at each home game.A banner will be displayed at the teams training camp facility and the Spokesperson or Spokespersons will promote the campaign message at ten community events in the Baltimore area. No solicitation is available. An award will be made to the Ravens on or about July 10, 2001.
