Description

This announcement constitutes the Government's intent to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for a contractor to furnish the following fabricated parts: (1) 24 each hopper door hinge pins; (2) 24 each hopper door hinge pin bushings; (3) 6 each crankshaft links and caps with hardware; (4) 6 each door links and caps with hardware; (5) 36 cover plates with cap screws; (6) 36 each klozure carriers; (7) 9 each crankshaft link pins with sleeve; (8) 12 each crankshaft brackets and caps with hardware; (9) 36 each cover plates with cap screws; (10) 6 each bearings and caps with hardware: (11) 36 each klozure carriers; (12) 6 each hopper door cylinder brackets (13) 6 each hopper door cylinder clevis; (14) 6 each hopper door ram cranks and caps, with hardware; (15) 6 each hopper door inboard crankshafts; (16) 6 each outboard crankshafts, complete with sleeves and keys; (17) 6 each hopper door outboard crankshafts, complete with sleeves and keys: (18) 144 each crankshaft fitted bolts and nuts; (19) 6 each door center brackets and caps, with hardware; (20) 9 each pivot bearings; (21) 9 each door bracket pins, with sleeves; (22) 3 each hopper door stuffing box carrier flanges; (23) 3 each hopper door stuffing boxes, complete with bolts, nuts, set screws and fitted bolts; (24) 3 each hopper door stuffing box packing glands, complete with bolts, nuts and studs; and (25) 48 each hopper door frame hinge pad bushings for hopper doors and operating mechanisms for our sea-going Dredge McFARLAND. The prospective contractor will be required to provide all the necessary labor, materials and services and equipment to fabricate, preserve and package the required parts in accordance with the specifications and drawings incorporated in the solicitation. This requirement is being issued as an Invitation For Bid (IFB) under Solicitation No. DACW61-01-B-0019. This acquisition is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business concerns with a North American Industry Classification System No. of 332111, and a Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) of 3462. The small business size standard is 500 employees. DELIVERY: The required delivery is no later than 4 February 2002. The contractor will be responsible for the cost of shipping patterns to and from the casting site and from and to the destination. The contractor shall include the shipping costs in each of the respective line items. Final delivery will be to the Fort Mifflin Distribution Center, U. S. Army Reservation, 6400 Hog Island Road, Paschall Post Office Station, Philadelphia, PA 19153 M/F Dredge McFARLAND. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database to be eligible for award. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 11 July 2001 with an anticipated due date of 14 August 2001. Solicitation documents will be furnished only on CD-ROM; hard copies will not be available. Offerors may view and/or download the solicitation and all amendments from the Internet at the following address: at https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after issue date of the solicitation; however the official media of distribution for this solicitation is the CD-ROM. REQUESTS FOR A CD-ROM MUST BE MADE BY REGISTERING ON THE INTERNET. NO WRITTEN OR FAX REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. If any information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet. Proposals will be due on or about 14 August 2001, 1430 hours. Award will be made as a whole to one bidder.
