Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation RFQ DTCG441SRAN036. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument; the size standard is 500 employees.The Command and Control Engineering Center (C2CEN), USCG intends to purchase a Base Weather Monitoring System and Control Display Unit with the following specifications: Base Weather Monitoring system to include: miniature weather pod; monitor temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, wind speed, direction and visibility; 4 color cameras; Spread Spectrum RF Link to transmit data; software to retrieve data from remote sites, AC/DC power supply with battery backup; telephone interface relay; mounting hardware and operating manuals. The Control Display unit is to have a telephone modem link with Pentium III PC, windows operating system, hard disk; 2 parallel serial ports, display and telephone modem. This procurement will be processed in accordance with FAR Part 13. The equipment is to be delivered to: USCG, Portsmouth, VA Telephone requests will not be accepted.
