Description

NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for: ITEM 1: X-RAY FILM DIGITIZER. PART NUMBER STARRNDT1000. 50-MICRON FILM DIGITIZER SYSTEM, TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: ONE PC WITH SOFTWARE SHALL BE: INTEL PENTIUM 3 1000 SYSTEM- ASUS BX 6P/11 JUMPERLESS MB; 512 MB PC 100 8NS DIMM RAM; IBM 40.1 GB ULTRA HD; 1.44 MB FLOPPY DRIVE; ASUS TNT 16 MB VIDEO CARD; MITUSUMI ZW SERIES KEY BOARD; MITUSUMI MOUSE; ASUS 50X CD-ROM W/DDSS II 10/100 NETWORK CARD; MS WINDOWS NT WORKSTATION W/SERVICE PACK 6; MID TOWER ECASE 230W POWER; HP 9100 CDRW; FULL ASSEMBLE TESTED AND BURNED; STARR SOFTWARE BY VMI. ALSO TO INCLUDE NEW KODAK LUMISCAN 85 FILM DIGITIZER 50 MICRON SPOT SIZE. QUANITITY: 1 EACH This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Virtual Media Integration (VMI), 207 East Main Street, Pensacola, Florida. This recommendation is made pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 13, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
