Description

The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Malvern Instruments, Inc to acquire the following equipment (1) Part # MSS0009 Mastersizer S Optical Bench to include DIF2021 Sample Dispersion Unit, MAM2126 Flow Cell, MAM 2461 QS Validated Dry Power Feeder, Compaq DeskPro 6400C, HP DeskJet 950CXI Printer, and Vac0001 Nilfisk Vacuum Collection System : (2) Part #MAM2009 Aerosol Mounting Unit: (3) QSP2010 Single Installation & Operation Qualifications. All responsible parties that can provide and meet the above requirement shall submit written quotations within 15 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD. No solicitation will be issued therefore request for such will be considered non-responsive. All questions shall be submitted in writing and received by facsimile 301/827-7039. The award is being issued on a sole source basis because the equipment provides the flexibility and expandability requirements and specifications for particle testing of the new drug applications being received. The measuring devices used in the Mastersizer are not available in any of the other laser diffraction systems.
