Description
INDUSTRY BRIEFING OF UNMANNED UNDERSEA VEHICLES POC Joann Vitek, SEA02612M, (202) 781-3955. The Program Executive Officer for Mine and Undersea Warfare (PEO(MUW)), Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Office (PMS403), in conjunction with the Office of Naval Research and Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, intends to conduct an Industry Brief on 23 August 2001, beginning at 9:00 a.m., for companies with current unmanned undersea vehicle capabilities. The purpose of the briefing is to provide industry with an overview of the Navy's unmanned undersea vehicle program and the future requirements of the Navy's next generation of unmanned undersea vehicles. The briefing will be held August 23, 2001 in Parsons Auditorium, Johns Hopkins University, Applied Physics Laboratory, 11100 Johns Hopkins Road, Laurel, Maryland. The anticipated agenda is: 0 900 -1030 Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Presentation, 1045-1230 Contested Area Study Presentation; 1230-1330 Lunch; 1330-1430 Future Naval Capabilities Presentation; 1430-1530 Questions/Closing Remarks. Directions to the facility may be obtained from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory home page: www.jhuapl.edu Click on "Contacts/Maps" at the top of the homepage. Electronic equipment will not be allowed in the auditorium. Requests for attendance shall be e-mailed to Phil Higgins at higginspe@navsea.navy.mil . The request shall include: 1) company facility clearance and CAGE information, 2) the proposed number of attendees. Briefing attendees must forward their SECRET or higher clearance to Johns Hopkins University, Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel MD to attend. Request for security clearance and a copy of the request for attendance shall be faxed to Johns Hopkins University, Applied Physics Laboratory, ( 240) 228-6400. Confirmation of receipt may be obtained by calling (240) 228-5661. The Request for Security Clearance shall include: 1) the purpose of the visit "Industry UUV Brief"; 2) Point of Contact G. Bardsley, phone (240) 228-6947; 3) date of visit 23 August 2001. The security clearance information shall include: Company name and address, Individual Name, Social Security Number, Place of Birth, Date of Birth, Level of Clearance and citizenship. Requests for attendance and security clearance must be received by NAVSEA and JHUAPL by 15 August 2001.
