Description

The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove approximately 160 miles of existing 1/2-inch EHS galvanized steel strand overhead ground wire and install approximately 160 miles of Government-furnished fiber optic overhead ground wire, hardware, and associated accessories on the Oahe-Fort Thompson No. 4 single circuit 230-kV, the Oahe-Glenham 230-kV, the Oahe-Philip Tap 230-kV, and the Philip Tap-Philip 230-kV Transmission Lines in Haakon, Hughes, Potter, Stanley, Sully, and Walworth Counties in South Dakota. The North American Industry Classification System code for this project is 23492. This solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis on or about July 20, 2001. The projected bid opening date is on or about August 21, 2001. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. Estimated construction magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $10,000,000. All work shall be completed within 230 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed.
