Description

Project consists of constructing two single story structures using a combination of structural steel framing and masonry bearing walls and structural metal studs with masonry veneer; standing seam metal roofs; various interior finishes; construction of all necessary electrical lighting and power, rough-in of communications systems, installation of complete fire detection systems; fire suppression system in one structure and installation of complete heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems in both buildings. The headquarters building is approximately 5,000SF and the Training Center building is approximately 17,000 SF. Both building sites will require fill in varying amounts to bring the sites to grade and both sites require some tree clearing and grubbing. Project includes the relocation and/or extension of water, sewer, gas and electric lines and communications ducts as well as the removal of some existing asphalt paving and the construction of new concrete and asphalt parking areas and drives. A single firm fixed price contract award incorporating both buildings is anticipated. The contractor will provide all plant, labor, materials, supervision and perform all work necessary to accomplish the above described work. All work is located on the Air National Guard operated area of Alpena county Regional Airport, Alpena, Michigan. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. SIC 1542 NAIC 23332. Solicitation will be issued o/a 01 August 2001, BOD 30 days after issuance of solicitation.
