Description

SOLICITATION RFP-IBET-03-01-105 RESPONSES ARE DUE AUGUST 17, 2001 AT CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 PM). This project consists of construction of a 122 feet and 6 inches long prefabricated trail bridge with a 12-foot travelway. Items of work include, but are not limited to: construction of cast-in-place concrete abutments, furnishing and installation of a prefabricated bridge, widening of an existing bridge approach trail, construction of a new approach on the other end of the bridge, installation of approach rails, placement of riprap, asphalt placement, and re-routing of a waterline servicing the adjacent campground. The estimated price range is $250,000 to $500,000. The bridge is to be located upstream of, and adjacent to, the China Flat Campground. From Placerville, California, travel east on Highway 50 approximately 35 miles to Kyburz. Turn right on Silver Fork Road (11N40), and travel approximately 2 miles to China Flat Campground. Continue past the campground entrance and turn right at the next intersection, into the parking area. The bridge is located adjacent to the parking area. There will be a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting at the work site. The pre-proposal meeting will be on August 2, 2001 at 10 am. The solicitation package will be ready approximately July 18th 2001.
