Description

THE FOLLOWING REPLACES THE ORGINAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SYNOPSIS IN IT'S ENTIERITY: This synopsis identifies Kirtland Air Force Base's requirement to award a commercial contract for packing and crating services. The solicitation will be issued under a separate Request for Proposal (RFP) identifying the specific Government regulations and standards required in performing Government packing and crating services. Packing and crating services include for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for movement or drayage and related services. Performance period will begin on approximately August 1, 2001 for the base year, followed by 4 subsequent option years through September 30, 2006. This requirement is a total Small Business set aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code / North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 4783 / 488991, and the small business size standard is $18.5 mil.
