Description

McConnell AFB has an upcoming requirement for packing, crating, and local drayage services for the following time periods:=20 Base contract year from1 January 2002 through 31 December 2002 Option year one from 1 January 2003 through 31 December 2003=20 Option year two from 1 January 2004 through 31 December 2004 This procurement is a 100% Small Business set aside. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this action is 4214 and the North American Industrial Code (NAIC) is 484220 with a size standard of $18.5. Areas of performance for this contract action are the following: Area 1 =3D 30 mile radius of Wichita, Kansas; Area 2 =3D Outside 30 mile radius of Wichita, KS to include the following counties: Allen, Barber, Barron, Bourbon, Butler, Chase, Chautaugua, Cherokee, Clarke, Commanche, Cowley, Crawford, Edwards, Elk, Fors, Greenwood, Harper, Hoageman, Kingman, Kiows, Labetts, McPherson, Marion, Montgomery, Ness, Neosho, Pawnee, Pratt, Reno, Rics, Sedgwick, Staffore, Summer, Wilson, and Woodson. The contractor shall supply all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services and materials, except as specified herein as Government-Furnished, for the preparation of personal property of Department of Defense personnel for shipment and/or storage and related services. Tasks to be performed in direct relation to outbound and inbound HHG (house-hold goods) as well as inbound and outbound UB (unaccompanied baggage) are the following (1) pre-move survey (Outbound HHG only) (2) weighing (3) preparation, packing loading, and containerization of personnel property (Outbound HHG and UB only) (4) Tagging, inventorying, and establishing packing lists (Outbound HHG and UB only) (5) Appliance servicing and unservicing (6) Containers and Vehicles (7) Marking exterior shipping containers (Outbound HHG and UB only) (8) Storage of personal property of Department of Defense personnel (9) Unpacking, unloading, loss and damage reports (Inbound HHG and UB only) (10) Documentation (11) Reports.
