Description

MEDCOM Contracting Center intends to award a firm fixed price contract to renovate optical shop, southwest corner of building 4196, using simplified acquisition procedures. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and any other items necessary to demolish, reconstruct, relocate, installation and fabrication of walls, electrical, water and air lines, cabinets, doors and frames, hood and vacuum systems, floor and ceiling, interior fence, and exterior site work in building 4196. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) are mandatory for award and payment. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 16, 2001. If you plan to request a copy of the solicitation, please request a package by noon on July 13, 2001. Interested parties desiring to visit the site will meet at Building 4196, MEDCOM Contracting Center (Facilities Division), 2107 17th Street, Fort Sam Houston TX at 0830, July 24, 2001. The site visit will only be available during this time. All prospective contractors are urged to visit the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost. If you plan to visit the site, please inform Ms. Harvey by fax or e-mail by noon on July 23, 2001. This is a 100% set-aside for small business hubzone. Hubzone certification is required. The NAICS code is 235510 and related small business size standard is 11.5 million. Request for solicitation must be in writing or e-mail, no telephone responses will be accepted.
