Description

The Bureau of Prisons is seeking a contractor with the ability to provide outpatient assessment and counselling services for substance abuse treatment services for male and female federal offenders in community based programs and home confinement in the Youngstown, Ohio area held under the authority of various United States statutes. A firm-fixed price requirements type contract with a one-year base period and four one-year options is anticipated. Services for the periods of performance will be: Base period October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002; Option Year One -- October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003; Option Year Two -- October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004; Option Year Three -- October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005; and Option Year Four -- October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006 and shall include services for twenty-eight (28) inmates as follows: intake assessment (one per inmate), individual counselling sessions (48 -- 30 minute sessions per inmate), and group counselling sessions (72 half-hour sessions per inmate). All services shall be performed in accordance with the Transitional Services Statement of Work "Transitional Drug Abuse Treatment" (TDAT), dated November 16, 1999. Proper licensing in the state of Ohio is required. The estimated issuance date for the Request for Proposal (RFP) is o/a July 29, 2001.
