Description

The National Industry of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole source contract with Dr. Kenneth Kulander, Livermore CA for Time-dependent dynamics of Trapped Atoms. Dr. Kulander, is an internationally known expert in the field of applying State-of-the-art quantum dynamics codes to interacting atomic systems influenced by strong electromagnetic fields. In addition, Dr. Kulander has the extensive experience with computer codes needed for Multi-dimensional quantum dynamics calculations. Period of Performance for this effort will be from date of award through one (1) year. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed priced purchase order. The proposed requirement is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.106. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. POC for this effort will be Ms. Karen A. Morelli. Ms. Morelli may be reached via e-mail at karen.morelli@nist.gov. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. A solicitation is not available. See Numbered Note 26.****
