- Description
- The Innovative Pavement Research Foundation in cooperation with the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center (National Airport Pavement Test Facility) seeks proposals from individuals or organizations interested in performing applied research for the purpose of improving the quality of concrete airfield pavement. Project 01-G-002-1, Best Practices for Airport Concrete Pavement Construction, is intended to result in the publication of a manual for use by designers, contractors, inspectors, and owners. Project 01-G-002-2, Improved Concrete Overlay Design Parameters, asks the researcher to develop a large-scale test plan for measuring the parameters used in rigid pavement design procedures. Project 01-G-02-3, Innovative Methods for the Rehabilitation of Pavements Used by Light Load Aircraft, is intended to document the degradation of bonding of ultra-thin concrete to flexible pavement surfaces in extreme environments. The IPRF will award contracts for doing the projects in accordance with the Requests for Proposal and supplemental documents currently available for download at the IPRF web site, www.iprf.org, or by contacting the Principal Investigator.
