Description

The Food and Drug Administration intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Thermo Microscopes to ac quire the following equipment: (1) Part No. 4400-11 Explorer Scanning Probe Microscope , (2) Part No. 9520-00 19? SVGA Colo r Computer Monitor, (3) Part No. 8736-00I/O Modulation Plus Option, (4) Part No. Explorer AFM Dry Scanner , and Part No 988 0-00 On site Installation. This company is also offering a trade in of the old Explorer. All responsible parties that can provide and meet the above requirement shall submit written quotations within 15 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD. No solicitation will be issued therefore request for such will be considered non-responsive. All questions shall b e submitted in writing and received by facsimile 301/827-7039. The award is being issued on a sole source basis because the equipment is proprietary to the contractor and they have no resellers.
