Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0250 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 as well as DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 332992 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 $100,000.00 worth of 12 gauge dummy cartridge 2.75 inch, DODIC CWDC in accordance with the following specs: 1. case is to be clearly marked "DUMMY" in waterproof black or blue ink, two (2) places longitudinally, 180 degrees apart, with inch (minimum) high lettering. 2. 12 gauge, 2.75 inch, dummy load (inert) with inert battery cup prefer to have hole drilled in center of battery cup. 3. case color: translucent any other color requires approval. 4. Dummy cartridge must be durable and suitable for use in cycling of pump shotguns. 5. Paper cases not permitted. 6. Shot load to be 1.125 1.250 ounce. 7. Packaged twenty-five (25) dummy cartridges per fiberboard box. Box to be clearly labeled to identify as "DUMMY" cartridges and quantity. A sample of 5 each is to be submitted with each offer. Delivery is required F.o.B. NSWC Crane, IN 47522 within 90 days after award. Final inspection will be at destination. Selection for award will be based on past performance, technical compliance and quantity offered. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
