Description

This is a firm fixed price contract with a NAICS code of 234910. This acquisition is 100% Small Business set-aside and only offers from small business concerns which may qualify under the size standard in this solicitation will be accepted. Offers received from concerns that are not small businesses shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. This project is located at La Joya ditch, northwest of the Village of Contreras, south of Belen, in Socorro County, New Mexico. Project provides for improvements to existing ditch. The project consists of approximately 5,240 feet of concrete lined ditch and 5,670 feet of 48" diameter pipe to be installed between the existing heading structure and concrete lined ditch segments. Approximately 4,765 feet of the total pipe length is continuous and 6 manholes (3 have sluices) are located within the section. The remaining pipe sections are located at arroyo crossings. 15' wide min. earth road is located adjacent to the west side of proposed ditch lining, for entire length of lining. Approximately 2,310 feet of new earth road (15' wide) is located adjacent to the east side of the proposed ditch lining. An 8' wide earth berm is located adjacent to the east side of ditch where a 15' wide road is not present. A wire-wrapped riprap overshot structure, an overflow/sluice structure and one turnout are located within the project. The project contains various concrete headwalls with footings located at the beginning and ends of each pipe section and at irrigation turnouts. Apron rock erosion protection is provided where small arroyos cross over new ditch pipe. Work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, fill and grading activities, installation of erosion control measures and seeding. The cost of the plans and specifications is $40.00 per set and is non-refundable.
