- Description
- This proposed procurement is 100% small business set-aside, SIC 1741/NAICS 23541, small business size standard $11.5 million. Estimated cost of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Completion no later than 98 calendar days. The By-Conduit is an underground masonry structure that runs on the west side of the Dalecarlia reservoir. It was built in the 1880's by putting stones together and forming a circular structure approximately 9 feet in diameter. The 263-foot, 8-inch section of this conduit to be repaired used no mortar between the stones. The initial design and construction had a 60-foot section which was open to a spillway. Later the spillway was converted to a boat dock. In-house repairs were performed to the original design, not recorded in the drawings, which placed gunite on 103 feet and 8 inches. The remaining 100 feet remain as built and allow for an abundant infiltration of water because the by-conduit is below reservoir elevation. This project involves lining of 263 feet, 8 inches between the intake and the South Connection Building. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders.
